For over 30 years, the Yakima Area Arboretum has welcomed tens of thousands of families, free-of-charge, to experience the magic of walking through its grounds lit by the lights of over a thousand candles and twinkle lights! Luminaria is the YAA’s largest community event of the year and features a candle-lit walk through the Arboretum’s wintry landscape, children’s crafts, and shopping in the Arboretum's Tree House Gift Shop.
Due to the shortage of City bus drivers (they are hiring by-the-way) there will be no shuttle service for Luminaria as in previous years, which means we will have limited parking onsite for the event. So in order to provide this opportunity for as many people as possible we will be using an online timed-entry reservation system for all cars wishing to park on the grounds. This will allow us to manage for capacity and create an intimate magical moment for your family.
